Horizontal  hoist by crane.

Hoisting straps fastened to the side edge of the net are intended for hoisting casualty up in horizontal position. This is vital when lifting  man overboard casualty which may be unconscious because of hypothermia.

The net should be lowered hanging in one side strap. Pull the casualty between the floats until the head is on the head fabric. Hang the other side strap on the hook and make sure the float wire is under the knees when hoisted.

If needed hook the security snap hooks together around the chest. This is important when in-water rescuer has to leave the MOB casualty in the water while he climbs on board and prepare hoist.
