Method: Rope fastened on both sides of the life-raft opening. The throw-line from the Markusnet thrown out to the the casualties in the liferaft and the Markusnet given out to them. One casualty made ready to be taken sitting in the net with his legs through the mesh and as the sea wave is at its top the liferaft is pulled to the ship's side and the casualty is pulled onto the ship and taken on board through the side door. When the casualty is loos from the liferaft, the control ropes are given out to prepare for the next lift and avoid danger to the casualties in the liferaft. |
